STORING YOUR JEWELRY

All jewelry should be stored in an airtight, plastic bag to prevent scratching and tarnishing (caused by exposure to airborne chemicals).  You can add anti-tarnishing strips for extra protection.   

 

WHILE WEARING YOUR JEWELRY

Exposure to strong lotions, body oils, cosmetics, perfumes, and cleaning chemicals, may cause discolouration and affect the finish of jewelry. Apply your creams etc. before wearing your jewelry.  We also recommend removing jewelry before swimming or bathing.

 

CLEANING YOUR JEWELRY

Sterling silver jewelry should be polished, occasionally, with a soft polishing cloth. Polishing paper may also be used.

Gold vermeil is an overlay of 14 karat gold over a base of sterling silver. It requires special care and attention.  To clean gold vermeil buff VERY gently with a soft and dry 100% cotton cloth or a microfiber cloth. NEVER use chemical cleaners on gold vermeil jewelry--it can strip the gold finish. It is natural for gold vermeil jewelry to tarnish with time ~ it adds character to the piece and makes it as individual as you are!
